This bookshelf speaker is a low-cost, high-efficiency 2-way bass-reflex design built around a 20 cm JA-2004 woofer and a JA-0551 hard-dome tweeter. The woofer uses a copper-capped center pole to reduce third-harmonic distortion and maintain clean, controlled bass while helping ensure a smooth handoff to the tweeter. The tweeter’s resin-hardened cloth dome provides crisp, stable high-frequency performance. Its crossover network was tuned through extensive listening and measurement, using high-quality MP capacitors to enhance low-frequency response. With a sensitivity of 93 dB/W/m, a 3.5 kHz crossover point, and a frequency range of 50 Hz–20 kHz, the speaker delivers strong output even with modest amplifiers. The enclosure’s bass-reflex structure supports deeper bass, while its compact but solid build—343 mm wide, 540 mm tall, 259 mm deep, and 10 kg—makes it a practical and efficient bookshelf solution.
